We celebrate life with delectable desserts in so many ways. We make birthday cakes to observe another trip around the sun. We give chocolates, often in heart shaped boxes, to express our love on Valentine’s Day. Thoughts of grandma’s pies elicit warm family memories. We have a ceremonial cutting of the cake by the bride and groom at wedding receptions. Even a bowl of ice cream at the end of meal can make the simplest dinner something special. Sweet desserts and morning pastries make us happy. Sharing those delicious treats with someone makes us even happier. Luckily, in Ohio Amish County, you do not have to wait for a special occasion to have pastries, candies, and desserts. There are many bakeries in the area where you can find the perfect item to feed your sweet tooth. Try one. Try them all. Lots of people follow along wine, beer, and whiskey trails. Create your own Amish Country Bakery Trail.
